I had a very awesome and very brave patient last night.
Kudos to the parents that raised their kid right. And kudos to my patient that went through a pretty tough situation with incredible grace. You impressed this seasoned paramedic.

My first “real” boyfriend, when I was 17, gave me a copy of Paul’s Boutique. I had that album on repeat for months after that. It was and still is my favorite Beastie Boys album.

Sixth.
According to Forbes.com, I have the 6th worst job in the United States.
Apparently, being a garbage man is better than being a paramedic.

Today was the first day in almost three years that I didn’t come home from work and lay down in my bed. I have wasted the past couple of years, yes, years in bed. Laying in the dark, not being able to really get out of whatever funk I had been in. I knew I had been depressed. The Celexa I had been on had been helping some, but not completely. Now, I have been on lithium for just over a...

It's not as bad as it seems
So a lot has happened in the past few weeks since my last text post. I have been debating in what I wanted to share with the world via my blog and what to keep private and I’ve come to realize that it might be cathartic to just write everything. So here goes…
First,
The Boy and I broke up. But, we still speak every day like nothing ever happened. I think we make much better...

Rude Gesture Of Gratitude of the Day: A teacher at a public school in Williamsburg, Brooklyn was credited with saving the life of a person during her lunch break. The person she rescued, however, did not agree with those who praised Cassandra Byrd-Scolaro as a hero for her selfless actions — choosing instead to flip her the bird.
Byrd-Scolaro found the 25-year-old ingrate sprawled...

It’s long, you guys, but I think it’s an important issue. Why are conservatives allowed to refuse to their jobs because of their “conscience,” but pro-choice doctors who believe providing women with abortions and birth control is moral are denied that right by the state?
READ THIS. NOW. Seriously. Anyone with a uterus needs to know this.

My Dear Typofiles,
I’m in a typography class this quarter in artschool and we have to do a deck of cards in the nine styles of type over the history of type. I have the majority of the typefaces on my computer, however a few I am missing. I can’t afford to buy all of these for just a few letters for this one project. Does anyone know where I can find free or inexpensive fonts? Most are BlackLetter,...

Trying not to throw my computer because I’m getting frustrated with my Flash animation project.
What I’d rather be doing:
Anything else
The Boy is in Miami, Florida hawking his wears. He started this company for these decals you put on the bottom of boats to attract fish. I know…nothing about fishing. In fact, The Boy is a bit of a silly redneck as I am an art school hipster. How different we are.
But, nonetheless, I miss the silly redneck boy. He gets back on Weds.
