Motorists making a right turn is one of the most frequent types of collisions for cyclists. While riding on a shoulder is fine for a straightaway, it’s no place to be when at an intersection. Remember: motorists aren’t looking for traffic on the shoulder. *BE* part of the normal flow of traffic. Take the freakin’ lane!

I have to do this twice on my commute to work. Scares the shit out of me every time.

I had a very awesome and very brave patient last night.

Kudos to the parents that raised their kid right. And kudos to my patient that went through a pretty tough situation with incredible grace. You impressed this seasoned paramedic.

My first “real” boyfriend, when I was 17, gave me a copy of Paul’s Boutique. I had that album on repeat for months after that. It was and still is my favorite Beastie Boys album.

Sixth.

According to Forbes.com, I have the 6th worst job in the United States.

Apparently, being a garbage man is better than being a paramedic.
